sunset across the tracks
Acrylic on paper on wood panel. This original painting is one of my “Chicago series” inspired by the architecture of the city of Chicago —my hometown. The straight lines and shapes represent strong wood and metal structures all around, including overhead and underground —bridges, elevated trains, subways, boardwalks, and piers. This painting is done in angular lines of dark reds, magenta and oranges with strong lines of light and dark yellows. It is ready to hang.
